Hello! I’m Elizabeth. Speech Language Pathologist, mom of three littles, farmer’s daughter/city dweller, and lover of butter. As a child, I grew up in a small agricultural town, which helped foster a strong sense of appreciation for community, family, and the power of good food. I have spent most of my adult life living in large cities and have worked in various environments from corporate offices to public school systems. I always baked as a way to ease the stressors of daily life, but since I rarely
wanted needed to eat an entire pie or two dozen cookies myself, I usually shared baked goods with coworkers or friends. It was always a bit mind boggling to witness how magical simple homemade scones or a dozen freshly baked cookies seemed to be in a room full of professionals or at a gathering of friends. Baked goods often seemed to bring instant happiness into almost any environment. Over the years, I took up making sugar cookies as a hobby and eventually found myself making dozens for all sorts of events for friends, family, and coworkers. With a growing number of referrals being sent my way, I decided to start a small side business , which brings us to this page :).

Established in 2019, City Gal Bakes is a licensed Cottage Food Operation (CFO) in San Francisco, CA. We specialize in handcrafted custom sugar cookies, cakes and other baked goods for personal and corporate events.
